At Wyoming Big Game Outfitters, we’re proud to specialize in hunting some of North America’s most rugged and rewarding terrains. We focus on guiding Wyoming’s beautiful wilderness elk country but offer big horn sheep hunts as well.
Our wilderness elk camp outside of Cody, WY, is a dream come true for archery and rifle hunters seeking prime elk country. This camp is truly an opportunity to experience the wilderness at its finest. We also offer a mule/horseback hunt for those seeking an authentic backcountry experience, as long as they’re comfortable riding and stalking at high altitudes.
Our elk guides are some of the most dedicated professionals in the industry, with in-depth knowledge of our area and a sincere desire to help you harvest a trophy. The Passionate WBGO Crew
Chief Wood-Splitter. Tyler grew up in Michigan and moved west to pursue all things mountainous. With a love for wild places and wild things, he has been guiding fishermen and hunters for 14 years and is looking forward to making your next adventure the best one yet.
Born and raised in Virginia and now a resident of Montana, my passion for big game hunting always guaranteed me an adventure. A guy in his mid 20’s with nothing to lose and an obsession for hunting, adventure was exactly what I was seeking. Given the opportunity in the fall of 2021, I started packing and guiding hunts in the Shoshone and North Absaroka wilderness. The sheer vastness of the wilderness and the abundance of trophy bull elk had me hooked. Add horses and mules, and that’s where it was all in for me. Horsemanship is essential and something I greatly admire about backcountry hunting. Nonetheless, each season brings new challenges, different outcomes and above all, new memories. There’s nothing that compares to elk camp. Wyoming Big Game Outfitters is world class and I am grateful to be a part of the team!
Jeff resides in Livingston, MT with wife Chris and their two dogs. Jeff has guided fisherman and hunters in the West for the last 15 years. Jeff is a passionate hunter and loves sharing it with other. Jeff spends over 250 days each year in the field. Together Jeff and Tyler own Wyoming Big Game Outfitters. You may see Jeff in Wyoming from time to time or speak to him on the phone, but he spends most of the fall in Montana running their other hunting business, Montana Hunting Outfitters.
Born and raised in Cody WY. and still residing in the area with his wife and 3 kids. Zacks childhood home is about 30 minutes away from the WBGO hunting trailhead and his 1st trip up into Needle Creek was when he was 8 years old. Raised around the outfitting industry, Zack would spend summers of his childhood on back country pack trips. He started in the industry himself at 18 as a wrangler in the thourofare. He has held a guides license since 2013 and if not guiding, he normally hunts the area around Needle Creek. Zack prefers to guide over hunting for himself and cherishes the relationships built with clients. Zacks an avid horseman with years of knowledge of the hunting area and experience in all aspects of a wilderness camp. Bring on the big bulls, steep mountains, strong horses and new faces!
